Introduction

Alright so I was driving home from church this morning and I looked around and saw many opportunities that would have me stopping and taking a picture. I however do not have a great camera nor do I want one. I am happy to catch important moments on my point and shoot (which may need an upgrade) and for other moments and things that inspire me I use my cellphone.

To some people this idea sounds ridiculous. Use a cell phone to capture images of things that are beautiful? Think about it most people have a cellphone on them at all times. as long as you don't have some cheap older model phone the back most likely has a camera attached to it and maybe even on the front if you have a smart phone which majority of cellphones are the "smart phone".

What do we use those cameras for? We use them to capture selfies both with and without the mirror. we use them to make ridiculous faces in what I can only guess is an attempt to see who can freeze their faces that way first. Please excuse me for not posting examples of these things as I tend not to do them. we take pictures of our food because we want the world to know what we are eating.

For the last several months I have been  taking pictures of things that I see around me and trying my hardest to not take pictures of people and or food (myself included). I will take a picture of my face if I can't access a mirror but you will never see those pictures on any form of social media.

Do I always take pictures with my phone? No I do use my phone as a phone and I talk on it and I text but I don't obsess over Facebook or social media in fact I have had my "smart phone" since February of 2014 and I have a low data allotment per month but guess what I have never used more than half of that allotment. If I need to check something I might go on quickly or if I need to get in touch with someone who I don't have their numbers I will use it. I use my computer to do most of my internet searching.

So here is the purpose of this blog occasionally I will write things that I find beautiful or give my opinion on things going on. But mostly this blog will be dedicated to pictures of the world. I am not great at pictures of animals so don't expect those often. My pictures are the pictures of the world as I see them through my camera.

Do I take pictures every day? No it depends on if I felt led to take a picture. I have found that I have to feel some sort of a pull to take a certain kind of picture. I also have to be in a certain mood to get a good picture. I am not going to see the world the same way if I am sad and stressed out as I would if I am happy and feeling joy.

This was the first picture I took on my phone. it was right after a rainstorm. It was the first picture that made me think I could take pictures with my phone.
Here is a picture that I love to do is examine trees.

These last two picture are pictures that I take views of frequently just because the difference the times of the year makes in the photo even from day to day.
Here is a picture that I captured because I was upset at what I had found thrown into a creek while I was doing roadside cleanup.
I climbed under a tree to capture what the world looks like looking up through the branches after a snowstorm and in the process I got scared by a bird who had taken refuge under this tree.

I played with  getting up close to the apples on the tree.
